Council meeting on 28th June to decide fate of Springfield!

Rotorua Lakes Council

On 17th June, in consultation with the Springfield Golf Club and Saving Springfield, Councillors Reynold Macpherson & Peter Bentley ensured the future of the Springfield Golf Course would be put on the Council agenda for the Council meeting on 28th June. The Council will have to decide whether to defer a decision for three more years or whether the Council should extend the Golf Club’s current lease now on the same terms and conditions.

Will the Council decide to extend the club’s lease?

Please make the effort to attend this meeting. A very large turnout of people would show the Mayor and the Councillors that the people of Rotorua want to keep the Springfield Golf Course. We need a majority of six Councillors. We currently have four confirmed including Crs Raj Kumar, Reynold Macpherson, Peter Bentley, & Trevor Maxwell. Feel free to contact the Mayor & other Councillors and let them know what you think.
